The modern houses have NO TREES! And they're so far back on the lot. They look so bare. The designs look sharp but there's nothing but lawn and sky around the house. I would hate that. I know that's a lot of zoning issues to blame. But no wonder there's such a demand for houses in these older, pre-baby boom neighborhoods. The artist in me just hates seeing these incomplete landscapes.

Love how colorful the Queen Anne is! Considering the need for new row housing, it's a beautiful example of row done right!

We are renovating our 1900 sf 2 story home, and spending the winter learning more about universal design. The house was sold to us as wheelchair-accessible but that is only on the main floor. This is something more people should really pay attention too. If the home is built with this in mind it will be a gigantic benefit in the future that you really don’t understand. My mom was very sick for years before she passed and lived in an older double wide. I am in the process of planning out a barndominim build and am taking all of these things into consideration with the design.

Flat roof modern is horrendously terrible God awful design. I don't know what people see in it. Flat roofs belong on commercial buildings not on homes. I'll never hire an architect that specializes in flat roof modern designs. Such an eye sore.

Concrete Furniture, sounds interesting and dynamic. Air entrainment (the process of adding tiny air bubbles to the concrete mix) produces a lighter finished concrete...you keep most of the strength and all of the mold ability without all of the weight associated with concrete. I LOVE IT!
